The best Milkshakes served in a yellow plastic cup, coupled with the tastiest toasted steak and cheese sandwich…. My father used to treat us once a month. Awesome memories

On the topic of legendary eats, whatever happened to Sunpie? The pepper steak and Cornish were the best my taste buds had the pleasure of tasting

Village Bakery still running strong 35 years on… Sadly, Sunpie and Village Bakery Pies are a thing of the past… All those pies, even though not exact in taste, still manufatcutured in the Sunpie Aeroton Factory, and is stocked and sold country wide at Woolies stores…

The person relating the story wishes to be anonymous, But he describes himself as a very passionate Dynamos supporter in the 70′s. He said he even supported Dynamos more passionately then he does Man Utd.
His words were………..”The time of the Federation, Now thats when you see Ball”
He goes on to mention the great players of the era, Shiraz Abbas, Mansoor Abdullah, John Laguma, the goalkeeper, Booby Solomons, Rashid Khan, Toby Hatia,Shiraz Abbas.. These lads were nothing short of class. And when everything winded down, it ended at Kentucky Milkbar in Fordsburg. Guys used to meet there and Hangout, The score feeds used to come via Kentucky.-Football Fan -source-extract from LEGENDS SECTION

Toasted Steak and hot dogs were legendary. Milkshake in the yellow cup always had ice shads in them Uncle Ebrahim always wore white shirt and grey trousers , he was a disciplined man, after he left school no one told him he could come out of Uniform .Uncle Sam the Gentleman, used to give us the Cape Town scores on Monday nights and the Durbs scores on Sunday evening
